Digital Video Broadcasting

Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) is a collection of standards for digital television.

Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial (DVB-T) is using the FSN (single frequency network) standard, in which several transmitters send the same data at the same time on the same frequency.

As such, in order to assure that transmitters in close proximity do not interfere with each other, a very precise time reference is needed.

In general DVB-T equipment manufacturers use a GPS disciplined clock source which derives the very precise time reference from the GPS satellite atomic clock.

Rubyquartz offers a family of GPS disciplined clock synchronization products:  SY-GSC10-S
